Scope of Position:
In this role, you will serve as a Project Leader for Division Supply Chain initiatives, including projects associated with the deployment of the division's supply chain strategy and acquisition integration as well as supply chain cost reduction or service improvements. Defines, develops and manages overall project scope, objectives, timeline, milestones, risk assessments, financial management and projections, communication and change management plans to meet customer needs. Develop policies, processes and expertise to meet business objectives. Day to Day
Responsibilities:
Supervises and effectively manages multiple cross-functional projects to meet business and corporate goals and objectives. Assist in the preparation of business cases to initiate projects. Establish requirements with customers and key stakeholders. Thoroughly understand nature of the business requirements for each project. Make important, major and strategic decisions which may significantly impact the overall project deliverables to the customer. Develop and manages project budgets, schedules and strives to meet performance requirements to these guidelines. Actively participate in the development, submittal and approval of the project planning and funding. Establish roles, responsibilities and competencies required for the project. Build and manage an effective project team, including defining and obtaining required resources, utilizing internal and external personnel resources with the ability to operate and supervise matrixed organizations. Establish receivership requirements for project. Develops an overall project plan that includes scope, objectives, charter, timeline and milestones, risk management plan, financial projections, performance measures, and communication and change management plans. Establishes organization and governance structures to successfully deliver project objectives. Prepare and present project status reports to diverse audiences, including executive staff. Actively coach and develop individuals on project team. Project team member assignments established with individual competency development as objective. Provide recognition to project and customer team members. Utilizes qualitative and quantitative analyses to assess uncertainties that may impact the success of the project, identifying and analyzing the significant risks and recommending proactive mitigation strategies. Escalates decisions and unresolved issues to appropriate parties. Owns a project until a receiver is identified and trained. Communicates project goals, objectives, key status information and overall impact of the project effectively with project team members, customers and key stakeholders. Partners with Purchasing function to negotiate, develop, and manage contracts, as required. Leverages third party resources as needed to achieve effective solutions. Conducts lessons learned for projects and shares and applies learnings to future initiatives. Proactively looks for ways to improve project management and implementation of supply chain projects. Applies project management discipline and rigor to ensure successful implementation of projects, including use of performance excellence or other tools as needed. Develop and maintain subject matter expertise on project management methodology and supply chain processes and requirements. Travel Requirements:
Up to 25% domestic and international. Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field. Required Years and Area of
Experience:
10 years or more of Project Management skills and hands on experience both as team member and leader within a matrix environment or on a cross-functional team. Supply Chain related experience needed Required Skills:
Experience in manufacturing, operations, planning, engineering, supply chain or supply management. Demonstrated ability to organize and manage large and/or complex projects to ensure efficient use of resources and effectively deliver results that meet or exceed expectations. Working knowledge of processes and tools for managing all phases of a project - initiation, planning, implementation and control, and close-out. Ability to identify and quantify project risks and implement solutions to alleviate or reduce risks to acceptable levels. Experience recommending total plan contingencies and alternatives to achieve project (technical and economic) objectives for their discipline. Strong problem-solving skills, including working effectively across functions and locations. Competency with Microsoft Project. Strong understanding of supply chain concepts, processes, systems, tools and metrics. Desired Experience / Qualifications / Skills:
Prefer PMP, CPIM and APICs certifications. Experience with PeopleSoft or comparable Supply Chain/Logistics systems Experience across multiple businesses, division and/or technologies. Six Sigma Green or Black belts preferred. Familiar with Stage Gate process. International experience, global business knowledge. Change Management training/experience. Experience with Life Sciences supply chain and distribution channels. Soft Skills:

Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Business Project ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
